itelligence is one of the leading international full-service providers of solutions in support of SAP solutions, employing around 1,850 highly qualified employees in 19 countries and in five regions (America, Asia, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Germany/Austria). As a frequently awarded SAP partner, among others global value-added reseller, itelligence realizes complex projects in the SAP solution-based environment for over 4,000 customers worldwide. In 2006, itelligence obtained gold-level status as an SAP channel partner as part of the SAP PartnerEdge™ program in Germany, and in the U.S. in 2007. The company’s services in support of SAP solutions range from consulting and licensing to outsourcing and services to proprietary industry-specific SAP. In 2010, itelligence generated total sales of MEUR 272.2. In July 2010, itelligence was awarded the “TOP CONSULTANT” quality seal.

How were the results for the fiscal year 2010?
itelligence AG has outperformed its revenue target for fiscal year 2010 – which it had already raised from MEUR 260 to MEUR 265 – thanks to a strong fourth quarter. In total, revenue for the past fiscal year increased by 23.7% to MEUR 272.2 after MEUR 220.0 in 2009. License revenue climbed significantly by 19.0% in fiscal 2010 to MEUR 33.9 (previous year: MEUR 28.5). In the fourth quarter, itelligence posted revenue growth of 35.2% to MEUR 83.4 (previous year: MEUR 61.7). Orders on hand rose 22.7% to around MEUR 200 as of December 31, 2010 after MEUR 162.8 at the end of 2009.

itelligence also improved its earnings performance substantially as against the previous year. EBIT amounted to MEUR 14.9 for fiscal 2010 after MEUR 12.3 in 2009, an increase of 21.1%. The EBIT margin amounted to 5.5% in the past fiscal year as against 5.6% in the previous year. In the fourth quarter, itelligence saw significant EBIT growth of 43.4% to MEUR 7.6 (previous year: MEUR 5.3). The already excellent EBIT margin of 8.5% for the fourth quarter of 2009 was increased again to 9.1% in the fourth quarter of 2010. Furthermore, the EBIT for 2010 as a whole was reduced by non-recurring expenses for acquisitions in the amount of MEUR 1.3 and amortization expenses of MEUR 0.6.  

What is itelligence’s target for 2011? 
With respect to the encouraging order situation, itelligence AG's strong market positioning and economic performance that is expected to remain stable, the Management Board is again forecasting positive development for fiscal year 2011. Revenues are expected to break through the MEUR 300 barrier for the first time and reach between MEUR 300 and MEUR 310, while above-average earnings growth is also forecast. The EBIT margin is projected at between 6.0% and 6.2%.

In which industry solutions is itelligence successful?
itelligence's industry solutions are adapted to meet the needs of the respective industry using SAP software. The SAP All-in-One industry solutions are geared towards midmarket companies with complex, industry-specific requirements. The focus on national and international customers from the automotive supplier industry, the chemicals industry, the machine and high-tech and electronics industry, the services industry, the wholesale industry, the consumer products industry, the foundry industry, the wood and furniture industry and the steel and non ferrous metals industries underpins itelligence's sound industry know how. itelligence is able to demonstrate its experience in the implementation of complex projects for midmarket customers in its customized customer solutions.

What is the significance of the different "SAP partnerships" which have been awarded to itelligence by SAP AG?
itelligence is one of the partners in the SAP partner environment with the highest number of qualifications. Two of the key partner statuses that itelligence has been awarded with by SAP to date are SAP Global Partner Services and SAP Global Partner Hosting. itelligence has been an SAP Global Partner Services since 2003 and is thus part of a select group of 22 companies worldwide overall. 2004, SAP acknowledged itelligence’s extensive experience in hosting by according it Global Partner Hosting status.

In addition, SAP awards special expertise partnerships to partners as a seal of quality. In appointing itelligence as a special expertise partner, SAP is rewarding both its outstanding industry knowledge and technology knowledge. The special expertise program enables SAP to pursue the goal of developing market fields together with partners. SAP partners must demonstrate their service capability for each individual special expertise partnership again in audits carried out every year.

In December 2006, itelligence was one of the first partners worldwide to be appointed an SAP special expertise partner for enterprise service-oriented architecture (SOA). Other important partnerships in this field include: SAP special expertise partner for Global Trade Services, PLM (product lifecycle management) and the special expertise partnership Duet. itelligence is one of the first German SAP partners to enable access from a Windows application to the SAP system with the Duet software. These partnerships enable itelligence to confirm its leading position in SAP’s special expertise program.

itelligence has officially been a new Gold Partner of SAP in Germany since September 2006. In 2007, itelligence was awarded the status in the USA. Therewith itelligence fulfills strict quality criteria, such as outstanding project quality, proven industry expertise and high customer satisfaction.

When was itelligence AG founded?
itelligence AG, listed in the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse - FWB), was founded in 2000 through the merger of the Bielefeld-based SAP service provider, SVC AG Schmidt Vogel Consulting (established in 1989) and the Hamburg-based individual software specialist, APCON AG (established in 1992).

How is the management board formed at the moment?
Herbert Vogel is Chairman of the board and Norbert Rotter is Chief Financial Officer of itelligence AG.

How many employees work for itelligence?
Of the 1,844 people employed as of December 31, 2010 (previous year: 1,545), a total of 836 were employed in Germany/Austria (December 31, 2009: 791) and 1,008 in the rest of the world (December 31, 2009: 754). This meant that the number of employees increased by +19.4% compared with the end of 2009 (previous year: +8.0%). Due to the expansion of foreign subsidiaries, more than half of itelligence’s employees (54.7%) are located outside Germany for the first time in the Company’s history.

One of the key topics in 2010 was employer branding aimed at further improving the attractiveness of the Company through various human resources measures. CeBIT and the presentation of the “Helden für den Mittelstand/Business Heroes in SMEs” book were particular highlights in 2010. In the book, our colleagues provide an impressive depiction of the exciting life of a consultant, including all of the experiences and impressions from his working life and itelligence AG’s unique culture.
