How were the preliminary results for the fiscal year 2011?
itelligence AG successfully concluded fiscal year 2011 with an extremely strong fourth quarter. According to its preliminary figures for the past fiscal year, revenues increased by 25.8%, from MEUR 272.2 in 2010 to MEUR 342.3. This meant that itelligence clearly exceeded its published revenue forecast of MEUR 330 for 2011 as a whole. In the fourth quarter of 2011, itelligence generated revenue growth of 22.9% to MEUR 102.4 (previous year: MEUR 83.3). Orders on hand rose by 17.8%, from around MEUR 200 at year-end 2010 to MEUR 235.5 as of December 31, 2011.

In percentage terms, itelligence AG’s earnings growth was stronger than its revenue growth, with EBIT amounting to MEUR 20.4 in fiscal year 2011 after MEUR 14.9 in the previous year – an increase of 36.9%. EBIT in fiscal year 2011 was impacted by non-recurring acquisition expenses of MEUR 1.0 and amortisation expenses for capitalized customer relationships and orders on hand from acquisitions in the amount of MEUR 0.9. As forecast, the EBIT margin amounted to 6.0% in fiscal year 2011 (previous year: 5.5%). EBIT increased to MEUR 9.1 in the fourth quarter (previous year: MEUR 7.6), resulting in an EBIT margin of 8.9% (previous year: 9.1%).

How where the results for the first nine months of 2011 / third quarter of 2011? 
itelligence AG continued its strong performance during the year to date in the third quarter of 2011, with revenues rising from MEUR 69.5 in the third quarter of the previous year to MEUR 86.4. This corresponds to revenue growth of 27.1% for the first nine months of the year, from MEUR 188.8 to MEUR 239.9. This positive development was driven primarily by itelligence AG’s organic growth (17.2%), while the revenue contribution from acquired companies amounted to 9.9%. Orders on hand increased by MEUR 38.5 to MEUR 231.0 at the end of the third quarter of 2011 after MEUR 192.5 one year previously.

Within its revenue areas, itelligence AG again saw particularly strong growth in Consulting revenues, which totaled MEUR 137.2 in the first nine months of 2011 after MEUR 101.9 in the same period of the previous year – an increase of 34.6%. The Licenses division recorded revenue growth of 17.4%, from MEUR 17.2 to MEUR 20.2, while Outsourcing & Services increased its revenues to MEUR 82.0, up 18.3% on the figure of MEUR 69.3 for the first three quarters of 2010.

itelligence AG’s earnings continued to an even greater extent than revenue growth, with EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) rising by 53.4% in the first nine months, from MEUR 7.3 to MEUR 11.2. Accordingly, itelligence’s EBIT margin improved from 3.9% to 4.7% in the same period. In the year to date, EBIT has been impacted by non-recurring acquisition expenses in the amount of MEUR 1.0.

What is itelligence’s target for 2012?
itelligence’s Management Board is forecasting further revenue and earnings growth in fiscal year 2012. Revenues are expected to total MEUR 375-400, with earnings again enjoying above-average growth. The target EBIT margin is between 6.2% and 6.4%.

The SAP All-in-One industry solutions are geared towards midmarket companies with complex, industry-specific requirements. In addition, SAP awards special expertise partnerships to partners as a seal of quality. In appointing itelligence as a special expertise partner, SAP is rewarding both its outstanding industry knowledge and technology knowledge. The special expertise program enables SAP to pursue the goal of developing market fields together with partners. SAP partners must demonstrate their service capability for each individual special expertise partnership again in audits carried out every year.

In December 2006, itelligence was one of the first partners worldwide to be appointed an SAP special expertise partner for enterprise service-oriented architecture (SOA). Other important partnerships in this field include: SAP special expertise partner for Global Trade Services, PLM (product lifecycle management) and the special expertise partnership Duet. itelligence is one of the first German SAP partners to enable access from a Windows application to the SAP system with the Duet software. How many employees work for itelligence?
The Group had 2,197 employees as of September 30, 2011, of which 907 were employed in Germany (September 30, 2010: 820) and 1,290 outside Germany (September 30, 2010: 975). The number of employees rose by +19.1% compared with year-end 2010 and by +22.4% compared with the same period of the previous year.

itelligence is taking new approaches to attracting skilled professionals: for the first time, the company had a recruitment stand at the Job40plus fair in Munich, which it used to actively address experienced and qualified IT consultants. itelligence also actively approached potential candidates at the IT & Business fair in Stuttgart. itelligence successfully gained new employees at both events and will be in attendance again next year. With these events and a redesigned poster campaign, itelligence is presenting itself as an attractive employer for the south German employment market.

Within the company, topics of strategic relevance were tackled in project groups as part of the seventh DELTa program and the results were presented at the annual summer workshop in Berlin. The DELTa network is the largest internal and international network, numbering a total of 116 employees this year. The transfer of expertise, especially between the individual segments, is a particularly important aspect of this program for itelligence.

How were the results for the fiscal year 2010?
itelligence AG has outperformed its revenue target for fiscal year 2010 – which it had already raised from MEUR 260 to MEUR 265 – thanks to a strong fourth quarter. In total, revenue for the past fiscal year increased by 23.7% to MEUR 272.2 after MEUR 220.0 in 2009. License revenue climbed significantly by 19.0% in fiscal 2010 to MEUR 33.9 (previous year: MEUR 28.5). In the fourth quarter, itelligence posted revenue growth of 35.2% to MEUR 83.4 (previous year: MEUR 61.7). Orders on hand rose 22.7% to around MEUR 200 as of December 31, 2010 after MEUR 162.8 at the end of 2009.

itelligence also improved its earnings performance substantially as against the previous year. EBIT amounted to MEUR 14.9 for fiscal 2010 after MEUR 12.3 in 2009, an increase of 21.1%. The EBIT margin amounted to 5.5% in the past fiscal year as against 5.6% in the previous year. In the fourth quarter, itelligence saw significant EBIT growth of 43.4% to MEUR 7.6 (previous year: MEUR 5.3). The already excellent EBIT margin of 8.5% for the fourth quarter of 2009 was increased again to 9.1% in the fourth quarter of 2010. Furthermore, the EBIT for 2010 as a whole was reduced by non-recurring expenses for acquisitions in the amount of MEUR 1.3 and amortization expenses of MEUR 0.6.  

How where the results for the first half-year 2011 / second quarter 2011? 
In the second quarter of 2011, itelligence AG repeated the dynamic growth it recorded in the first quarter, with revenues increasing from MEUR 63.1 in the previous year to MEUR 78.6. This corresponds to revenue growth of 28.7% for the first half of the year, from MEUR 119.3 to MEUR 153.5. This positive development was primarily driven by itelligence AG’s organic growth (19.4%), while the revenue contribution from acquired companies amounted to 9.3%. Orders on hand increased by MEUR 32.8 to MEUR 229.3 at the end of the first half of 2011 after MEUR 196.5 one year previously.

The revenue growth in the first half of the year was reflected in all areas of itelligence AG. Consulting revenues increased by 32.6%, from MEUR 66.5 in the first half of the previous year to MEUR 88.2. The Licenses division saw revenue growth of 34.8%, from MEUR 9.2 to MEUR 12.4, while revenues in the Outsourcing & Services division rose by 21.7%, from MEUR 43.4 in the first half of the previous year to MEUR 52.8.

EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) increased to an even greater extent than revenues, doubling from MEUR 3.2 in the first half of the previous year to MEUR 6.4. Accordingly, itelligence’s EBIT margin also improved to 4.2% compared with 2.7% one year previously. In the first half of 2011, EBIT was impacted by non-recurring acquisition expenses in the amount of MEUR 1.0.

What is itelligence’s target for 2011?
Based on this strong development and the successful acquisitions implemented by the Company, the Management Board is increasing its forecasts for fiscal year 2011. itelligence now expects to record revenues of at least MEUR 330 for the year as a whole, while the forecast EBIT margin remains unchanged at 6.0-6.2%.

How many employees work for itelligence?
Of the 2,127 people employed as of June 30, 2011, a total of 991 were employed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (June 30, 2010: 897) and 1,136 in the rest of the world (June 30, 2010: 772). The number of employees rose by +15.3% compared with year-end 2010 and by +27.4% compared with the same period of the previous year.

In the second quarter, recruitment focused on marketing activities. We invited 30 SAP experts to the “Traumschiff SAP” boat in Hamburg harbor with the aim of attracting new employees and improving the general awareness of itelligence AG. A joint discussion was held on the topic of “Work-life balance – the arc of suspense between prototyping, go-live and private life”.

itelligence also expanded its social media activities, particularly on Facebook and Twitter, where it launched its own company pages in April. itelligence gained more than 200 fans and followers in the first three months. The aim is to improve the attractiveness of itelligence AG as an employer through further activities, such as publishing employee interviews.
