Grand opening of the new training, conference and office building
itelligence AG is today celebrating the official opening of its extension in Königsbreede 3, Bielefeld. The new, three-storey building has offered a total net floor area of around 5,500 m² since June 2010. 3,000 m² of this provides office space for the roughly 220 workstations. The new building also offers an integrated conference centre, with ultra-modern furniture and fittings for up to 350 visitors. The office and conference center supplement the existing company headquarters built in 2001 for the Bielefeld-based SAP service provider.
1,500 invited guests enjoyed the star guest, the entertainer and Bielefeld native, Ingolf Lück, who delighted the crowed with extracts from his current program, “Family”. A title, in keeping with the entire program for the day, during which young and old alike enjoyed a colorful, lively program, tours of the new building and a public viewing in the modern training center.
Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG, said: “When one constructs such a building, one wants to adopt a long-term approach and one looks not at quarters, but at years. We want to achieve several things here all in one go: we want to create 220 ultra-modern workstations in Bielefeld, offer trend-setting communication facilities with our customers and set a benchmark with the entire building.”
Norbert Rotter, CFO of itelligence AG said: “We have succeeded in constructing a modern, visually striking building within the investment specification of MEUR 9 on schedule. itelligence is optimistic for the future. We want to continue growing, both in Germany and abroad, as well as in our Bielefeld site.”
The unique feature of the new building is its conference center, which is also available for external events and whose rooms can be hired for events. With this in mind, an additional 250 parking spaces have been provided, some of them covered.
In addition, the conference area can be divided up flexibly for meetings as well as big and small events thanks to mobile partition walls. The foyer, with a surface area of around 400 m², provides additional space. In addition, there is a dedicated catering area available for entertaining the guests.
